American Planning Association, Information Technology Division Award

UCSD Urban Studies and Planning professor Keith Pezzoli, collaborators, and SDSC staff members Richard Marciano and Ilya Zaslavsky were honored this month by the American Planning Association in the category of "Best Use of Technology for a University Urban and Regional Planning Program". The winning program, Urban Studies and Planning Program Senior Sequence, was recognized for "the most effective use of teaching with technology in preparing future planner for professional work". The Senior Sequence utilizes Internet-based tools and guides to help students maximize their educational research and workforce experience in the area of Urban Studies and Planning. Credit for this award also goes to Dawn Martin (UCSD Library) for sharing her expertise in GIS. For more information see:
